Earth Hour

The concept behind Earth Hour is simple - turn off your lights for an hour. Getting everyone around the globe to do it is another thing, and that’s why The Outdoor Type is helping to spread the word.

So, at 8:30PM local time Saturday 28th of March 2009, wherever you live on planet earth, turn off your lights. And tell your friends to do the same. It is a simple gesture that is intended to send a message to the world leaders meeting in Copenhagen in December 2009 to agree on a post-Kyoto policy for tackling climate change - the message that the world leaders need to take strong and decisive action to address the problem.
