Roz Savage Complete Pacific Row
By David Rutter
Roz Savage became the first woman to row solo across the Pacific on the 4th of June when she rowed into the harbour at Madang, Papua New Guinea.
She completed the journey in three stages, with the third and final stage from Tarawa to Papua New Guinea taking 48 days.
Roz was met by a crowd of 5000 in Madang, and has been enjoying their hospitality since arrival.
Far from sitting back and resting after her journey, she is already planning a journey across the Indian Ocean, which is due to start in March 2011.
