Interesting outdoor, adventure, and environmental reads No.2

Here’s a quick roundup of interesting reads I’ve found this week on the outdoor and environmental news websites:

What is the difference between an off roader and an overlander? Adventure Journal answers that important question here. On the same subject, Outside Magazine looks at its top 10 adventure rigs.

Backpacker Magazine looks at the best sleeping bags of 2016 (from a US market perspective) here.

Tentsiles brings you a tent that you can hang between trees, to give you a treehouse of sorts.

The visually beautiful Sidetracked brings you a tale of a packrafting expedition in Iceland.

And finally, the Australian government would have us all believe that the devastation of our stricken reef is just a flesh wound. Read about Greg Hunt tweets to Ellen Degeneres here, and about the report that they didn’t want the world to see.

About David Rutter

Dave grew up on a small acreage on the outskirts of Sydney, within a stone's throw of the bush. Having spent a large part of his childhood exploring the bush behind the family home, much of his adult life has been spent exploring the world - he has lived in Sweden, traveled much of Europe, travelled in the Pacific and South America, and more recently in Asia. The Australian bush is however, the place where he feels he truly belongs.
